Are there any future consequences one should keep in mind? Does getting fired show up on the records somehow and hurt future job prospects?
Better to just walk off. I mean they cant really force you to stay.
What place is this? I have a very stringent notice period as well so I want to know.
Resign and work strictly in office hours like the rest of us. Anyway you'll stop getting staffed on many projects once you're on notice period. How long is your notice period anyway?
The legal world is ridiculously small and everyone remembers those who got fired since this number is spectacularly low in most firms (for instance, I still remember those who were fired 6-7 years ago who were junior associates). Please avoid this route.
As someone who has moved firms, I've seen HRs ask for experience certificates at the time of joining and then forgetting about it - don't know how strictly this is enforced at all firms.
