Education does happen if you are open to getting any. Those who say that they have learnt nothing useful in law school were usually the ones who paid no attention or made no effort.

NLU's are too diverse to be opened up. Getting all students from 20 + states to come back to university is a tough, if not impossible move. RTPCR certificates are not fool proof...

But, what if the government asks for full-fledged physical opening but BCI refuses to give licenses to those who do not go back to their campus on the ground that everything must have been OK if the Government directed to open physically?
The Chancellor of NUJS is the CJI. If the state doesn't allow places to open, then the NLU can't do so either. But if the state allows it, even then NLUs can wait on health grounds.
Every NLU is a State University. So, both i.e. NUJS and RML are complying with the directions of their respective Governments. RML opened during March-April 2021 but on voluntary basis. Normally, the NLUs get directions from their States' Chief Justices who are the Chancellors of these NLUs.
Yes, students have been discussing among themselves to ask the administration to implement a hybrid system wherein there'd be voluntary stay in the hostel but the classes would be online. This solves both the lack of resources issue as well as taking care of concerns of those who don't wish to jeopardize their health by travelling.
So true. Everyone has selfish reasons in the end. Not like any education happens whether online or offline. But offline learning just had so much unnecessary added pressures.
And they're right for a change. On campus couples want the campus to reopen so they can cuddle up in the woods but the pandemic is still very much ongoing, so it can wait. The campus can barely handle regular medical issues, an infection breakout will cripple them
Very valid concern though. Hope our university also doesn't give in to strong arming by some kids. Would love college to open, but not mandatorily. And I'd assume in a non mandatory model, classes will still have to be online. No feasible way to totally open up without unwarranted risk. Plus without any juniors one batch opening is just a party opportunity for those who want it, not really proper campus life.
Yesterday after a so called faculty meeting, the administration informed us that they will not be opening the university due to lack of infrastructure and a major concern raised by faculties worried about their family.
Baat toh yeh hai ki sab apne ghar mein paisa bacha rahe hai. Kisiko cuttack aana hai nehi.
Don't know what the heck is NLS waiting for to reopen. Not reopening even after government has permitted and students have agreed to all of admin's demands.
Nalsar allowed students from the batch of 2022 to come to campus for day zero. Now that day zero is done, these people will stay on campus till the semester ends.

UG 5th year students are also being called on 23rd of this month.
Remaining UG students will also be informed very soon.
