We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

2. The Infrastructure in our country is not developed, so there is scope for growth in the practice area due to the Government (well not really!) and private players' interest in developing world class infrastructure (airports, highways, ports, power plants etc.); and
3. Last but not the least, you will be inundated with endless work which will leave you with no energy for other interests or aspirations in life (no different for any other practice areas, I guess!).
No pun intended!
Is it possible to move outside India for an LLM/ work at another jurisdiction with prior experience?
What is daily life like and career trajectory? Does this field have any future scope?
I can give you a longish answer as such- but the general.theme is all law firm work is 'boring' when viewed through the lens of these jokers.
Happy to expand and tell you the upsides if you want, but the subgkr biggest upside is this id the closest you'll get to commercials, compared to any other practise area. What that also means is if you have longer term in house ambitions- this works best.
Companies don't do M&A for a living (except a few fund houses), nor do they keep listing themselves time and again (one IPO on 10-15 years) nor do they keep litigation for the F of it. Let me know if you know further deets.
