Question is how can two national level exams be held on the same date.
It was Consortium who announced the date a month before which means it holds every right to conduct CLAT on the same date.
Holding Jee In July will mean many students who filled CLAT application form as a escape from science be denied their last resort.
Postponing Clat and AILET will mean how unequally careers other than engineering are treated in this country.
Also - so directionless! We need to start asking these applicants for a statement of purpose if we want motivated good lawyers.

1. JEE is going to be held from 20th July till 25th July. CLAT is on the 23rd of July, what are the probabilities that someone is giving both CLAT and JEE on the same date? Agreed that this is not a strong defence but couple this with the following point-
2. There is an attempt of JEE in August too. Now, whoever has JEE on the 23rd can surely attempt it in August. Already two attempts of JEE have happened. Enough chances have been given and enough remain. No one is being left behind or being treated unfairly
Postponing CLAT any further will be grossly unfair to those aspirants who have been seriously preparing for CLAT. Instead of clamouring and raising concerns about the small probabilities that exist in Point 1, think about the mental health of the majority of CLAT aspirants.

JEE and CLAT aren't clashing. NTA hasn't scheduled any session of JEE attempt on 23rd now. Give both CLAT and JEE happily now.
No one is contesting the right of anyone to sit for the exams- but paying the exam fee doesn’t give you the right to demand specific schedules either. It’s also not about your rights- that’s a very essentialist way of looking at it- are we really attracting the best lawyers/ engineers and building the kind of higher education culture we want to if we just encourage this meaningless rat race mentality instead of encouraging students to follow their passions and invest boldly in what actually interests them? I don’t think so.
You have the right to do a number of dangerous things to yourself- and many people survive dangerous situations- but it’s not advisable to do them.
