I had earlier reproduced a LinkedIn post which mentioned the names of 7 NALSAR graduates who got into the Oxford B.C.L. programme during 2020-2021. Sidharth Chauhan (Assistant Professor, NALSAR Hyderabad) has followed up with another LinkedIn post which mentions 19 more names of NALSAR alumni who have pursued postgraduate studies at prestigious universities this year. Copying it in full below:-

This is in continuation of my previous post about NALSAR alumni who are pursuing postgraduate studies at well known universities during the 2020-2021 academic year. Apart from the seven recent graduates who will soon be completing the B.C.L. programme, the following are currently at the University of Oxford:-

- Anjali Rawat (BALLB 2015) is about to complete the M.Phil. after having done the B.C.L. in 2019-2020.
- Jyotshna Gurumurthy (BALLB 2019) has done the B.C.L. in 2019-2020 and been admitted to the D.Phil. (Doctoral Programme) for 2021-2022.
- Sanya Samtani (BALLB 2015) has completed the requirements for a D.Phil., after having earlier completed the B.C.L. in 2015-2016 and M.Phil. in 2016-2017 on a Rhodes Scholarship.
- Mirza Saaib Beg (BALLB 2013) is completing a Masters in Public Policy at Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford (2019-2021).

I could gather the following names among those who are attending masters programmes at other globally recognised institutions during 2020-2021:-

- Sameer Boray (BALLB 2014) is completing a MA in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Diplomacy, Tufts University (2019-2021).
- Pranav Verma (BALLB 2017) has recently finished his coursework for the LL.M. at the University of Cambridge, UK. More significantly for us, he will be joining a teaching position at NALSAR in a few weeks.
- Varun Baliga (BALLB 2016) and Tanvi Tuhina (BALLB 2018) attended the LL.M. at the Harvard Law School, USA.
- Himanil Raina (BALLB 2017) is attending a masters in International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland. He will be transitioning to their Ph.D. soon.
- Ananya Dhar Chauhary (BALLB 2017) and Mehul Kumar attended the LL.M. at the New York University Law School, USA.
- Sindhuja Satti (BALLB 2017) and Ravali Gurram (BALLB 2018) attended the LL.M. at Columbia University Law School, USA
- Anna Liz Thomas (BALLB 2018) is attending the M.A. in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland (2020-2022).
- Sanchita Aidasani (BALLB 2018) is attending the M.A. in Sports Ethics and Integrity at KU Leuven, Belgium (2020-2022).
- Subhra Tripathy (BALLB 2018) has recently completed the M.B.A. at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (2019-2021).
- Ojaswi Kavuri (BALLB 2018) is attending a masters in management studies at the ESCP Business School, Paris, France (2020-2022).
- Sunishth Goyal (BALLB 2019) is completing the LL.M. at the University of Maastricht, Netherlands.
- Shweta Rao (BALLB 2020) attended the LL.M. at Boston University School of Law, USA.
[...] On the positive side, this shows that their alums have been applying to foreign master's programmes in substantial numbers and getting in. Most of these admissions would have happened in early 2020, before the pandemic set in.
This is strange moderation. A person provides both the sides of a development, and the criticism is taken away while the praise is left alone.
By background, the wording was a little trollish though the post as a whole was interesting. Paraphrasing, in summary and for context, the thrust of the redacted section was: Why is Nalsar doing PR of its achievements, is it planning something?
Don't most colleges do this sort of PR, either on LinkedIn or Facebook? I'm sure I've come across posts by NUJS and NLUO of individual alumni achievements and LLM admits etc. Nalsar has just recently started doing the same, which is merely just catching up to the others and not really "planning something" imo
