Is this a meaningful comparison? Aren't law books generally more expensive than technology resources (many of which are available online and for free)?

It might be a bit like comparing computer lab & equipment spending at NIT vs an NLU?
Also, Kian, NIT Trichy is quite old, it is not necessary that they need to spend as much every year if they already have a a very large corpus in place to begin with.
Half of life of NLU student is gone in looking at NIRF rankings 🤣
Mostly because of the expensive legal databases. I doubt there is any top NLU that spends less than 1-1.5 crores annually on their library.
NIT Trichy has been in existence forever. Their major capex was in 1960s. Current cost is just the cost of buying few updated edition. NLUs are much younger and building a library from scratch.
