Doubt there can be a fixed answer to this.. Its good to look for a mentor to get training.. In the meanwhile, I will suggest you to take the tried and tested formula i.e.
(a) make sure your basics are in place,
(b) start reading famous case laws on the subject - its just easier due to drama and glitz to read (which will in turn also lead you to more cases - based on the cases quoted by lawyers etc. etc.),
(c) keep yourself updated with the developments in India and abroad in the economic/business field

Apparently Indus Law - they think every liquidation preference provision, and put and call option provision they are providing inputs on are rocket science! This makes them "business minded".
