Not possible. If you want to clear you need to keep all distractions aside and just focus on the preparation.
Not possible at all! Tier 2 law firms (mostly) are as demanding as Tier 1s and require the same commitment without similar financial rewards. UPSC preparation, given the comprehensive syllabus, quality of competition and limited seats demands almost as much dedication as a full time employment. If one is planning to prepare for this exam simultaneously while working, the options to look at could be:

(a) Policy Organizations;
(b) NGOs;
(c) Lower Judiciary;
(d) PSUs
(e) Academics.

Stay away from any private employment- you'll end up stressing yourself out beyond your imagination and would succeed in neither. Accept that nobody would pay you to prepare for an exam.

Not possible. Tier 2 law firm job working hours as worse than Tier 1. A miniscule minority of people who clear are working candidates and these people often clear after 4-5 attempts. The profile of working candidates who clear are engineers who have a safe 9 to 4 job . Although, some PSU lawyers have cleared it many years back.
