I understand discussing a sub juice matter is difficult but however does anyone know if they are planning to resolve the issues or come up with an alternative solutions. As in continuing with this sense of uncertainty the firm is indeed suffering. Any idea?
Check Bar and Bench. But yes once the division is concluded, both founder lawyers would try to grow their respective firms and age old tiger RKL might just take control of his reign again and this time properly.
They are moving towards a break and splitting the firm in to two. Whichever side u support, the fact is mosa actually ran the existing firm singlehandedly for years while Lu chilled and travelled the world on the pretext of BD.
Team mosa will be lean and financially efficient as they are all very hard working and good at money management. Though some personalities in team mosa are highly toxic and aggressive so culture of new firm will be doubtful. It will be a new boutique firm for all purposes with good potential to grow.
Team Lu will have most of the has beens, though some partners are hard working and bright. But Many who have sat and twiddled their thumbs for years (names in the 800 page section 9) who are not even able to cover their own costs. It will be a physically fancy office but hollow of talent on corporate side. A lot of sound but little substance as always. It will be a has been firm like Pathak, Crawford etc and practically a tier 6 firm.
The submissions published yesterday at Bar and Bench mentioned that 70 crore is lying in Firm's account from last year. Yet the associates were not given any hike in the excuse of Covid? Hhaahhahah
At its core, I think the firm lacked strong leadership. I donβt see much changing with this split. Without each other, theyβre going to be whack out of balance. Itβs going to be interesting to see them come up with new excuses for holding off increments
Even RKL isn't taking the reigns properly. If he wanted to establish himself as the old Simba, he should have just taken a strong hold of the firm while MS was away during this dispute. No point, sitting back and then blaming if people leave!
A funny point is, with this update, as the split is nearing and might be completed very soon, what will happen to the existing clientele and funnier, what happens to an intern who has a call back in August? π
I think it is a high amount for but again he is a partner.
do you think it will bring L&L to the bottom with clients leaving and a large hole in their bank accounts?
what do you make out this sum? can L&L survive this?

Thoughts are welcome on this.

Good luck to both factions.
