So you agree that NLU grads are superior @kian. Dont try to sugar coat what is already known. The NIRF rankings confirm it
We all agree that you are too good for CLAT. You should directly go to take classes for Ramanna and Chandrachud from tomorrow onward.
Why do people struggle with saying Ramana? I hear all the Hindi speakers saying "Ramanna"
Lol. Feel like laughing. Such people will get admission in an nlu?
Instead of thinking you are "superior" why don't you sit with your books and study first.
Ask any NLU (or private university) faculty whether in their honest opinion, majority of their students have got good (not even great) work ethic, and you will mostly get an answer in the negative.
"Engineers from reputed colleges who handsomely earn anywhere between 25 to 30 lacs as their starting salary!"

Clearly, you did not watch Alma Matters.
I have so many friends from school who joined IITs and BITS only to experience that rude shock for themselves.

"Humein to lagta tha 1 crore ki job lagegi. Ghus kar pata laga 1000 mein se 1-2 ko 1 crore milta hai bas."
"so many of your friends from school joined IITs"? kaunsa school hai bhai? amazing school
DPS Ghaziabad. It's a pathetic school that glorified cracking JEE over everything else. I don't know how well it's doing now but back in my day an easy 30-40 kids would get admitted to some IIT.
To 3.1 and wo 1 crore bhi USA mein lagne par. That too when you convert dollars into rupees. Purchasing power parity is different. And you just can't compare two countries. Per US standard that job is at same level say a 20 Lakh in India.
But u are ignoring the fact that if u hustle in a tier 1 law firm for long enough and become an equity partner or a junior partner u will earn upwards of a crore.
Yes but the packages which engineering grads get are CTCs which will include everything starting from medical insurance to gym membership and a few random club memberships.
What kind of investment gives 'regular return' of 25% p.a. exactly? Other than chit funds, that is.
On a CAGR basis, investment guided by an advisor over at least 5 years.
The use of chit funds was a sarcastic one. Only the few privileged actually get high returns from those, as you pointed out. No legitimate retail investment can regularly fetch you 25% annual return, advisor or not.
15 lpa for a 22 year old is surely not less. Instead of asking for money we should be asking for better work life balance, maximum of 12 hours working a day.
3 Things:

1. Use some punctuation ffs

2. You just bumped a three month old thread to basically say that another field is underpaid - how that is an excuse to keep us underpaid is beyond logic.

3. Are you the same guy who was spamming the UPSC thread?
It was no where mentioned or implied that I favour lawyers being so don't make lame assumptions
@ok

Really? Which city are u in bhai? Are they second gen
Yes.its nit the pay that's the issue its literally about having no time or WLB.
32 Lakhs of Microsoft will not fetch 2.6 Lakhs per month but not even less than 1 Lakh. It very weel pays you a base salary of 16 Lakhs plus guaranteed bonu plus relocation bonus plus stocks. Overall compensation is not less than 20 Lakhs per annum
NLU senior professors actually get paid more than the VCs after seventh pay commission. However, the VCs usually are entitled to a lot of perks.
exactly
but generally, law firms pay higher than other jobs, especially to start with, but then you wont have a life beyond your firm, give or take
Paisa paisa karti hai . Paiso pe tu marti hai. Kya baat hai cheez hai paisa. Kya baat hai cheez hai paisa .
What you are getting paid for is actually two jobs. Right up to the time you get equity. No retirals. Effectively only a 10% tax. At the senior level, law firms are basically getting you cheap.
