Enough being discussed about law firms salary. Could someone please let us know how much a freshly appointed civil judge earns in hand after 2nd Judicial Pay Commission?
78k basic salary. There are several other allowances example- DA, HRA (If you are not availing official accommodation), TA, Driver's allowance (10k), Househelp Allowance (8k-12k depending on the place of posting), Furniture allowance (once in 3 years, around 3 Lakh rs). All in all, you get around 1,40, 000 per month including all perks and allowances.

It is the highest in govt. jobs, around 30k higher than UPSC's pay package.
Its gonna be 110k plus allowances after implementation of 2nd pay commisison.
But, when will that happen ? States are reluctant, but the SC seems hell bent.
This isn't the present but the proposed pay structure, with the present being roughly 40-50% of it. With the pandemic causing havoc on the state's exchequer and with people struggling to eat, don't expect such hefty pay rise for lower judiciary anytime soon.
People on the road don't really give a damn. Unless you are an HC or SC judge moving with security convoy.
Civil judge gets a gunman in Punjab ? Even the HC judges do not get one.

I have seen P&H HC judges traveling with police escorts on official visits.
There may be security requirements and nothing should be read beyond that.People on the road are more worried about their daily chores and yes ,we as a common citizens are more concern about human being ,how good he is . From neutral perception no one is more or less as human being .
