In some funny way, this is like some crazy and unintentional admission that AO at CAM in Yashs team have it worst dur serious over-work culture......"mostly"get Sunday off..... hahaha
More or less expected. 72-80 hours per week. Might be more on occasions during tight deadlines.
Can someone please give a holistic perspective as to how things work in a top notch law firm? Is 70-80 hrs per week the norm?
Dude, by no stretch, the work is to an extent that even a Sunday afternoon is not off. Yes, some months are heavy, but it's not always the case.
I will be the judge, jury and executioner of that. Please don't make this statement on my behalf.

Kucch bhi.Getting only Sunday afternoon off is such a big exaggeration.Even an A0 in Yash's team in CAM will mostly get Sunday off.
How human you are. Move deadline if you have already pulled 14 hours..that was a lol moment.
Weekends off? Thats a novel idea for firms. Please tell me which firm you work at. I will find a vacancy and apply to your team. Sometimes, I am grateful if I get the sunday afternoon off, let alone the entire weekend.
I agree with you that the job of a corporate lawyer involves hectic work hours. But, you do get your time off. There are months which are lighter and you get weekends off.

Its just sad that someone has to start a thread asking if law firms/seniors are 'Being Human' or not!

Covidiot law firms - time to wake up!
Tell me about a honest day in the life of a corporate lawyer in tier 1/ 2 law firms. The pros and the cons. Tell me more about ways the newer associates take time out to cheer themselves up and their recreational activities.
