^ this is basic organisation skills. This email is nothing more than that. Happens in every school. Don't waste your time thinking this will impact anything. Nobody cares about students attending classes as long as they maintain good grades and know how to hustle.
Shows GNLU in bad light. NLUs take pride because they are islands of excellence where academic standards are high. GNLU is lowering standards if students bunk classes like this. CLAT aspirants and parents should take note.
Students at all other NLUs are also not actively attending online classes. Obviously, you cannot expect the same enthusiasm in online classes as in physical classes. If at all this email shows anything, it indicates that GNLU admin is student friendly and is intending to discuss the problems rather than directly imposing mandatory requirements. Most other colleges would not even bother to seek opinions of students and impose their reprsssive measures directly. Do you call them better?
What's so big a deal in it? Isnt it a problem of every educational institute in these times? Besides GNLU admin is concerned enough to bother and implement changes required. Online Classes are not easy longhead.
The attendance in even our NLU is low, but our faculty has not mailed us to know the reason behind the same If a college does not check, they cannot be blamed But if a NLU reaches out, it sure is praisworthy
The attendance is low because you are being lazy and/or not interested to attend the classes. Had this been an internship, you would have put in 10 hours daily at a minimum before the screen, so don't give anyone the screen fatigue and other similar spiels. Of course, if someone doesn't have the financial means to get functional computers and stable internet connection, then that's a different thing altogether. Some NLUs had promised earlier to provide the necessary financial support for that.
