For tax, I don't know really whether it is worth suggesting names: there is a very small (though a very high quality!) Bar at the High Court specialising in tax, but if you want to intern from the point of view of joining long term, I am not sure it is realistic. It can be very good work after you break in: but very difficult to break into (limited work now as well because of the various litigation-reducing measures of the govt.). But if you can get into a good chambers, the work can be of very high quality - tax involves a lot of interaction with other areas of law (especially trusts, family law, wills on the personal tax side and contracts, conceptual stuff of IP and companies etc on the corporate tax side).
What about potential counsel's chambers to intern for tax and IP?
