According to a circular by the Supreme Court’s assistant registrar, published on the official website, an advocate wearing a long saffron-coloured gown over his shorter black gown was in the Chief Justice of India’s (CJI) court room last month.
The circular stated that “advocates only in proper uniform be allowed entry” into the Supreme Court premises.
