A faked Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) consortium notification (see above) has been making the rounds on social media, purporting postponement of the 2020 CLAT.
We have checked with authoritative CLAT sources, and the above notice is definitely a fake and the CLAT is still on for 7 September 2020.
A number of CLAT aspirants (as well as NEET and JEE aspirants) have been strongly resisting holding the CLAT and other physical exams in September due to the growing Covid-19 pandemic.
However, there is no indication that the CLAT consortium has any plans to change the date at present, particularly since the government has signed off on the NEET and JEE dates that directly precede the 7 September CLAT date.
Update 20:13: The consortium has confirmed that a fake notification has gone around, with an official notification on its official channels.

Only the "will of parents and students" that align with political priorities of the ruling party will be heard. Troll the rest. Also the the rest can roll the dice and hope that they will survive political management of statistics and research. Now you have experienced that statistics do lie.
To appear "normal" (aka Atmanirbhar) we must do the abnormal.
#DoingAbnormalisNormal
Since the NLUs are essentially state universities and several states such as WB, Odisha, Maharashtra etc (you can say opposition states) have appealed to PM to personally intervene and postpone the larger entrance tests, maybe the students opposing CLAT at this juncture can reach out to CM, Edu/Law Ministers of their respective states and request that the CLAT should be postponed.
WB CM quoting unnamed "expert opinion" suggests that things are expected to turn a corner after Sept 25 (doubtful). But CLAT can certainly wait for two more weeks after the JEE/NEET are done. That way they can learn from and avoid the mistakes of imposing JEE/NEET tests

They may impose an undertaking on us (like JEE/NEET) that we are Corona free etc. Why should we give anything when the CLAT Consortium is unwilling to shoulder any responsibility of care? Do they think that having so-called "sanitized test centres" is the end of their responsbility?
These VCs cannot even run corruption-free administrations. Imagine what "sanitized spaces" we will get when things are outsourced to and through "near and dear ones".

Understandably, NLSIU is slightly different from other NLUs because it was founded by the BCI. But the other arguments against domicile quotas, especially for those NLUs whose founding Acts did not have it, holds true, such as NUJS, NLUD etc.
While the SJA was able to stall the domicile quota for a year, it received absolutely no assistance from the famed alumni. Now that we have an "alumni association" will the alumni help?

Then again Messiahs are allergic to dissents and questions.
“Number of participants in the NIRF in 2020 has been more than 5,800. Collecting the original documents from all of them and verifying it is not possible. We expect the participants to be honest and believe that the competitors will check each others’ data.”

Kian, try doing the same exercise with all NIRF top 10 ranker law universities. I am telling you right now that a lot of dirty secrets would be out in the open.
I guess they feel happy by burning students' blood by increasing the anxiety in them.
No reporting on the CAM/Kerala Govt conflict of interest issue?
This is after a spate of questionable things - Nirav Modi raid, Chanda Kochar opinion.....
Quite amazing, after all its the best firm in the country.
