Trilegal Gurgaon-based partner Ravindra Bandhakavi has resigned from the firm.
According to several sources, he is highly likely to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM).
Trilegal said in a statement sent out earlier this evening:
Ravindra Bandhakavi has decided to move on from Trilegal. Ravindra Bandhakavi has been a partner with the firm since May 2015 and we wish him the very best in all his future endeavours.
Bandhakavi and CAM declined to comment.
Bandhakavi had joined Trilegal from what-would-soon-be Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, in 2015.
He was one of Trilegal’s first major heavy-hitting corporate lateral partner hires.
He is a 1999 NLSIU Bangalore grad, who had before Trilegal spent most of his career at Amarchand Mangaldas, but for a stint with SUN Group / SUN Apollo between 2005 and 2008.

But jokes aside - one of the best lawyers around - always two steps ahead.
CAM certainly needs a life jacket and Ravi is perfect for the job.
lots of money and big egos involved - these guys deserve the money just for navigating the system
Same disease has afflicted Bandhu. Sad really. He is leaving a top firm to join a decaying one.....
On a lighter note, these guys need to ease up with the destinations. At this stage I’m sure even the office guard at SAM is probably called head of facility integrity - northern region
The danger for Trilegal is its growing inablity to keep the internal competition friendly and productive
let the rainmaker do his job..
The fact is trilegal lost an asset, time to introspect and make changes before they turn into a luthra.
We are now one lad short in our club.
Need to find a replacement quickly
before the ladies fill up the space in this tub..
1) When you realise that you would rather report to a seasoned leader than a bunch of boys who play arbitrary favourites
2) When you are expected to give and give as a lateral but get nothing

All the best Ravi. Jaa jee le apne zindagi. Inspiration to many.
What I hear is Trilegal is going through a power tussle. While Ravi is a big big exit, other exits comprising of few so called senior partners with no book or real talent of theirs might also move out and which would be a blessing for trilegal. The junior partners at trilegal our doing much better and are much better lawyers than few below average older partners, who had cut a deal for themselves when Phoenix was exiting and then decided to stay back.
