All individual lawyers. idea has Bomi for corporate, Uberoi for competition law and Alka Bharucha for due diligence. vodafone has Rajat Sethi for corporate and SAM and SNR for competition. Usual suspects cam and khaitan missing. Corporate roles and competition roles gone to different firms.

S&R have been burning their midnight oil for quite sometime now, while acting for vodafone. Apparently, almost all resources have been pulled in for this.

As a matter of policy Kian, do you seek prior consent of the people whose names you happen to publish on your site? I do not know what the law on this subject is but that's besides the point - I am hoping, purely from a professional ethics perspective, that you actually do seek permission. [NB : am not even remotely connected to the article in question]

In honour of 100 years (not of existence since company does not exist anymore) you are being promoted. So is your neighbour and her neighbour. Every senior associate will be made partner out of turn. All associates will be given double promotion. Just do not expect double raises. Now go back to work. Cam will be the biggest law firm. Does not matter who leaves and who stays. Other firms can fight to be best. We will stay big.

Kian, are you planning on doing an analysis of Chambers' rankings for firms for 2017? Might be interesting!

I request Legally India to cover this shameful incident of ragging in a National Law University:

Hehe, just read this properly - it just looked like an convocation press release, which we never cover.

CAM giving cash to GNLU is actually quite interesting, you're right - do you know how much they gave and any more details of what the chair entails?

I am asking the admin, but they are unlikely to respond to confirm (which is also incidentally part of the reason that we don't often run 'positive' stories about GNLU, because they simply don't respond when we follow up on their press releases to get more detail).
