Now you are bound to be amazed, even starry eyed seeing this. But here, folks, is a good instance of how many Universities inflate themselves. You will find a number of institutions using adept turns of phrasing and words to proclaim achievements. Which is why circumspection is key.
In the case under study, you might not realize that according to the latest QS Ranking 2024, this top, global. university, has disgracefully fallen from its coveted first rank position and now occupies Rank 6 in Private Universities and a much, much lesser rank when public universities are included.
And this is just one instance of how puffery practices generally pervade Indian educational institutions and enable the mushrooming, and false appraisal, of a number of sub-par institutions.
Moral of the story: do your due diligence, speak to seniors, connect with people, spend enough time knowing the truth and realities of a place, and make sure you have considered and assessed enough data before you jump into a decision.
