Do IndusLaw internship counts as the most horrible internship experience right now?
Interns find themselves in a situation where they spend the entire day awaiting responses after reaching out to associates, partners, and even HR. Unfortunately, it seems that communication is scarce, with unanswered messages and calls to HR going unattended.
This raises the question: is this exclusive to IndusLaw, or is this a common trend across other firms as well?
Honestly depends on your team. When I interned, I was bombarded with tasks from partners, PA/SAs and all other associates. Could be the month you're interning in too since not a lot of work happens across firms in December.
CM Mumbai - generally requires two internships to handout a PPO. If you're from the 25/26 batch, you're in a decent place to start your 2 internships since you'll ideally finish one now and the next one in June/July (right before placements). Try to focus on getting the callback for that period and do the general things that you're supposed to do at an internship - work hard, get a lot of work, be diligent, try to interact with everyone in the team etc etc. You may have a presentation at the end of your internship (however, seems unlikely from recent trends). Once you get the callback, you're likely to get work from higher-ups, including partners in some cases, and then you'll be subject to an interview.
CM Delhi - I haven't heard much about their placements.
If you have any other specific questions, please state them accordingly.
Yes thAnk you. Do you mind telling how the trends of rolling out callbacks is presently. Like for November 2023 interns. You are anonymous and I hope you can divulge that detail. Is there a freeze. My internship ended a month ago, but I haven't heard back and hence am concerned.
Further, please let me know if ud wish to discuss more details over proton.
Not sure about November 23 specifically, I interned prior to that. However, from those at the firm, I can confirm that callbacks are actively discussed and rolled out regularly.
What if they don't? My mentor never spoke once to in the duration of the internship, while I got work from everyone but her. I don't she and I arr in cordial terms for me to ask her to do something. Does this mean I'm doomed?
God I dont know how to bring up the subject, im scared it will ruin the relationship we had on work. They had appreciated my work a lot. I dont know what to do. The HR is also scaring me saying the vacations could delay stuff.
what are the odds of getting something, given there is good feedback, are there indications which could mean I am more likely to get one, like work from seniors etc. basically things the HR won't tell us.
Yes, if you get more work from the higher-ups in the team then that's certainly a good sign towards a call-back, try your best to get work from them. It's fine even if you get work from only one SA/PA/Partner but try to continue working with them for the entire period of your internship. They'll certainly push for your callback if you've done good work.
However, not to worry even if you don't get work from higher ups, I've heard that for handing out a callback, feedback is generally taken from associates. Its mainly for the job itself during a callback/assessment, theyll want feedback from higher-ups.
Any tips on Indus Mumbai's corporate-transactions team ? my internship starts next month. Any and every specific team advice on getting it converted to a ppo is appreciated.
Bad publicity by interns? Interns abuse every place where they don't get placed. They find shortcomings in firms but acknowledge that they were unable to the most basic task without errors.
Which team are you working with, you will always get good work if you are interning with TMT, Cap Marks, employment or transactions team of Indus. Plus Cap marks and TMT all offices work together so there is never scarcity of work lol.
You should work with Avik Biswas team in Bangalore or Delhi. The PAs & SAs give you a lot of work and they do convert some of the interns to associates.
