Pros:
1. He has a vision and conviction to put that in practice.
2. He's obsessed with academic rigour. That's why you see a lot of good folks being hired as faculty.
3. He has curbed a lot of corruption that used to happen earlier. The fiscal management is solid with uni posting a good surplus.
4. While there is a lot of construction on campus, he has been careful to approve designs that cause least amount of environmental damage.
5. Sports facility is top notch.
Cons:
1. My way or highway, doesn't listen to opposition that much.
2. Too much focus on academic rigour, and less on other things like Moots. NLS hasn't won a good moot for a long time.
3. He is adamant that NLS will not allow students to intern at the expense of attendence. Those who do from other NLUs get advantage.
4. The same sports facilities have ensured NLS doesn't have strawberry fields.
5. The expansion, imo, was an exercise designed to achieve a larger vision. But personally, feel that uni was better without expansion.
6. One of the first things he did- remove a number staff hired by previous VCs. While a lot of them did not do much, it did impact those staff adversely.
Seems too rash and quick with his decisions.
