We do have self-respect. The lalajis of our law firms need a kick in the nuts. Those who can get themselves a foreign law firm job are best placed to do that, as some of the best talent is going abroad.
It's not just about bragging rights but huge pay difference, quality of work, quality of life, improving one's lot for future generations. You crabs living in the bottom of the well, trying to pull everyone else down to your level if they dare to aspire. Have some shame
They do lol, can you give me examples of people who got TCs with just some mediocre Indian law firm internships without having excellent ranks/international comps to go with it?
Indeed. Quite right. Add that to the list OP, and sorry for the absent-mindedness.
LLM. Lowly paralegal job. Pass the bar. Join India practice team.
You forgot to mention excellent moot/ADR performance and publications, as well as ranks. They don't take Tom Dick and Harry who have done a few internships
Thank you so much, you're very helpful- just one more question, I've been hearing from ppl that's move across jurisdictions in m&a is particularly difficult. Is that true? Should I lose hope coz that's actually how it is?
Im currently a law student and have interest in m&A. Can anyone guide me on what path I should take or follow to move abroad as a corporate lawyer specializing in m&a without pursuing llm. Its a kind request
