OP here, thanks A TON. This was immensely helpful :)
2025 batchers have 6 months, 2026 batchers have 18 months. If you know anything about T1 firms, they recruit quite earlier.
I'm not saying it's late, it's late for PPOs in tier 1s. You can still get PPOs in tier 2 & 3 firms rn. For batch of 2026 PPOs will close in July/August 2025 for Tier 1s. That doesn't mean you can't get a tier 1, you can always try for Day Zero Offers.
What about tier 2s? Also do publications really help? should I focus on that now? I am honestly hopeless in terms of college placements and I feel really lost and tired. The fear of unemployment is looming.
there's almost 2 years left to graduate and you're saying it's already too late
If you aren't in the PPO pipeline it's already too late for PPos in tier 1 firms.
I am in my 4th year already :(. So your advice which is absolutely on point is of little help. I should have clarified in the question. Kindly let me know what I can do from here on in the remaining three semesters.
Take academics v v seriously in your first few years, you might miss out on some college life but trust me it is absolutely worth it when you have a sweet job in the end of 4 years :/
