The truth remains, the EPs have built their ivory towers on top of multiple sacrifices by their associates. And yes, such sacrifices include ones life. From Bengaluru to Delhi, associates have already laid down their lives.
Yet, the top of the pyramid remains flooded with resources and the bottom of the pyramid, as always, remains significantly divided.
Few of the BigLaw firms have already faced the same situation EY is facing today.
From 2015 onwards atleast 4-5 associates have passed away due to questionable circumstances. And yet, nothing has changed.
Even recently a tier-2 firm lost one of its senior associates in mumbai. No one will ever speak up.
