Our MPs/MLAs (lawmakers) aren't qualified lawyers
We aren't exactly asked to lower out marks, but maintain a curve. So very low students should score very high marks and very low marks. Absolute shitty system, but it is what it is.
Do note that the trimester system means you will have 2-3 graded assignments to correct per student within a specified time limit, plus all assignments are moderated by senior faculty so you have to be very through in the grading part. also rescheduling classes is highly looked down upon. Students are generally good, at least better than most other NLUs in the sense that they do their work more diligently. Last thing about the grading, you will be asked by the AAD to depress grades and not mark anyone too highly so be prepared for not giving out an O to even the most deserving of students.
But because of trimester system, you'll be on your toes for 3 months. Can't miss a single class and classes mostly cannot be rescheduled. You might be frustrated with students when they don't read and come to class, but pleased when they do. However, don't expect others to show empathy towards students, even if you do.
