Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
I stay in kolkata. The protests are all peaceful and don’s obstruct traffic. What does obstruct traffic is random neta giving speech on the road; random blocking of entire main roads due to some festival or the other; half the roads being unusable due to potholes, and therefore a 4 lane road being reduced to 1 lane.
In favour of the WB govt:
- Lots of trolling of DYC online by BJP/Left leaders and student protestors, on the allegation that he is going soft on the WB government. This makes all of them liable for contempt of court.
- Doctors at RG Kar are striking even after DYC told them not to. Again contempt of court.
- Online trolling of Kapil Sibal, Menaka G and various left-liberal intellectuals. Could invite action.
- Every other day protestors are blocking roads in Kolkata and inconveniencing the public.
Against the WB govt:
- Abhaya’s parents have told the media that the police tried to bribe them and ask them to accept the case as a suicide. The police hurriedly cremated the body.
- Alleged that the police circulated a morphed crime scene photo cropping out the presence of a TMC leader (Avik De)
- Proven that there were no attempts to seal the crime scene and evidence destruction a real possibility
- Abhaya’s colleagues have allegedly told the CBI that a massive coverup is being attempted.l and given names in an envelope.
- Protestors, including women, beaten up by TMC goons in Cooch Behar. Multiple reports of protestors being abused and harassed.
