1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Also, maybe take a break, you're not a 39 year old yet.
Do you all agree that there should be minnimum age criteria or qualifications to use LI ?
get a life. let nluj students be handled by nluj students
nluj touchwood, has one of the best senior - junior cultures. they are one of the best set of people.
being from batch of 28, i have seen my friends and i and others bond so well with seniors.
they are their for everystep - to guide you with how to tackle academics, moots, from helping you through panic attacks to making you feel like home, i have seen some of the seniors do their absoulte best. internship guidance, college guidance. i, let alone a lot of people would have not survived my first year without these seniors.
let me tell you, half the friend circles changed, notions changed, people i thought i would never vibe with are my best friends now, and people i totally vibed with are worlds apart.
don't be overconfident and stop judging people for their English.
However, you could just try to start with an intro and see where it goes from there. I'm pretty sure the members will respond warmly.๐
Re: "seniors not getting respect". I'm a 'senior' here at NLS, and none of us demand any respect purely because we have warned the seats longer than some others. Respect is earned, and will be earned over time naturally, and not because you are a senior but for what kind of a person you are. Quit this shallow mindset. Earn your respect and do not count your chickens till they've hatched.
as to -be lawyers, be straight about what you believe in, instead of choosing an anonymous way.
you might not even have met all your batchmates as of now - a lot of them probably are not aware that there is a NLUJ 29 group that already exists. it just may be, the people you might vibe with are not in the group as of yet. one thing we learnt after coming to college is that 1) you do not neet to "try" to fit in. 2) working on your own self will lead you to find people automatically. 3) open up, you would not get to know people, or would not fit in until and unless you open up.
lastly, yes groups will be made - south indians have their own groups, so do north indian's which sadly, is true in most of the colleges in India.
But you will also see all the people belonging from different states, cultures and backgrounds intermingle with peace. we have made amazing friends - who speak hindi and english both.
do not spread prejudice, in your mind, and the minds of others.
before you decide you fit in on not- step on the campus, groups will be made, broken you will find yourself having shifts in friends and your own self.
Find people who align with your personality. It takes time, it gets better.
