It is clear that you are unable to read and comprehend properly. Did NLUD get founded the very year when its first batch graduated? It had already been around for five years by then and made its name courtesy the previous admin, faculty and students. Hence its first batch got the offer (one from Linklaters). Even then, NLUD managed to get very few offers from Indian firms, though that improved real quickly. Of course, the present admin has failed to keep that momentum up and many good faculty have left. Still, the students are still doing well for themselves and the alumni are getting well-established now. The point is that there is no gatekeeping of opportunities. If you do well, then you will reap the benefits.

However, the number has increased over the years. NLUD, NLUJ and GNLU have all been subsequent entrants. Therefore, if any university makes itself known for the right reasons, the firms may consider those too. There are alumni from Symbi, Jindal etc. working in those firms, over the years, they may end up having enough clout to get their alma mater included.

yep, only from NLS, NALSAR, NLUD, NLUJ, NUJS and GNLU to be precise. The trend has been this way for quite some time now. A&O, for example, does an IFCC Course (which also forms the basis of the kind of interview they take for vac schemes) and only people from top 5 NLUs are invited for that event. Obviously, everyone can apply but you can confirm from someone at NLUD that they had a fixed quota for these 5 colleges.
