What happens to partners in Trilegal who have no book? I know many partners in Trilegal who have no book of their own (even after 2 years of becoming partner).
Someone please send link to Manan Bhai and Ashwath. Let them settle it for once.
No way equity capital markets bags a 15-20 crore split in India. I understand Lahoty's craze among students these days who are venturing out into this niche but inflating figures just for the sake of a thread on an anonymous platform must stop.
True. Maybe you can compare the number of deal on which Indus and KCO are working? ECM is dominated by SAM, CAM, and Indus. S&R too gets some mandates here and there. No other firm comes close to these firms in ECM.
Excluding MPs, the top rainmaking equity partners in T1 firms must be raking in around 15-20 Cr. (With 30-50 Cr book). Trilegal caps equity at 15 Cr. Rest of the EPs in these firms take anywhere between 3-10 Cr depending on their book size (10 Cr to 25 Cr).
Don’t know about manan but seems low for ashwath? Probs closer to 12.5 to 15 a year. I agree the 30cr numbers being bandied about are just nonsense.
Sandip from S&R, Yash from CAM and Arka from JSA get the deals. Manan has lost his sheen now.
Manan does not undercut, what are you on, he literally gets approached for these deals.
If Indus would have been undercutting his mandates, Manan would have taken his team to some other place. Indus without Manan is just an average tier 2 firm as they neither have a solid M&A practice nor disputes.
Manan - Not more than 3-5 crore given how Indus undercuts its mandates.

Ashwath - Somewhere between 7-10 crores, might be more than that but the 20-30 crore figure as quoted in this site is simply not hard to believe.
What are the yearly earnings of top corporate lawyers in India like manon lahoty, ashwath rau, gunjan shah etc.?
