We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

However, I think LI has become quite mainstream with most law student and lawyers on here. Saw even GS here and was visibly shocked. Also some seasoned senior equity partners. Hopefully will see Mr. Shroff addressing the concerns himself because his HR is useless and doesn't even know how to do good PR. Ever had some senior professors quote things on here and implement restrictions during exams.
Secondly, if you need to specifically define comp because you are making the adverse interpretation, inspite of providing reasoning of its impossibility, it's on you sir. Noone reads 5 cr partner as competition. Anybody earning that is 20 plus years in hard-core M&A or at SnR serving foreign mandates or some super star like manan. Not even queen is making over 1.5 cr at max in a good year (2017 to 2019 not anymore)
For clients and lawyers, it's the clients, number of deals, ability to retain clients other than marrying into them, not commiting fraud and getting raided by cbi
The only person making above 1 crore is THE partner. Not every year though.
Btw seems like a scam post. If you are making 5cr as competition lawyer, you are one of the handful leading comp law lawyers in India. And should already be knowing what the industry numbers are at this point.
A few years ago Luthra Co-founders were making a specific publicly disclosed amount. If current rainmakers in Corp are making such amounts, your numbers are not very far off. However, if you were actually making this much, you would easily have the knowledge/influence to figure out numbers.
LI would be the last place for you to ask.
