We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

A law firm partner, however glamorous it may seem to an AP Royal Oak fanboy, has almost no chance. They either get on the waiting list (Gymkhana was last interviewing people who applied in the 1980s, Golf Club was taking people from the 1990s), or they become one of the 4 or 5 people the Government can nominate for membership each year. All the best to those corporate law partners competing against Anand Mahindra and Ritu Beri.
IIC is still possible, they take around 25 lawyers a year. But most of those are senior advocates, I've only seen 3-4 partners over there.
They are way way way more prestigious, rich and connected than even Managing partners of these law firms, and many are casually let in at prestigious clubs.
- House/flat in a posh area of Delhi or Mumbai
- Collection of luxury watches
- One BMW/Merc and one Lamborghini/Ferrari sports car
- Collection of Armani suits
- Membership of a top golf club
- Supermodel wife
- Children in a top IB school, who will then go for their undergrad in the US or UK
- Visit 50 to 100 countries, all travelling first class and staying in the finest hotels
Everyone is hustling to reach these goals!
Salaried partners at T1 or equity partners at T2 or mid-rung Senior Advocates = membership of T2 clubs
SA/PAs at T1 or salaried partners at T2 or lower-rung Senior Advocates = membership of T3 clubs
Others: No chance anywhere unless you marry someone rich and influential.

I guess a list of clubs worth joining in Delhi (minus Noida and Gurugram) would be:
Tier 1:
- Delhi Gymkhana
- Delhi Golf Club
- IIC
- IHC
Tier 2:
- Panchshila club
- Vasant Vihar Club
- Chelmsford Club
-Roshanara Club
- Jahapanah Club
Tier 3:

What say? Possible to join these?
