No seriously for a change - why is this post trollish? Several nlus are also targeted but at max a contested post is placed. I think one of the mods is from RML or hnlu. Kian if you can hear us - remove the trollish tag asap. This thread is still continuing healthily.
Confirm if you are also from DSNLU.
Is it because of the students themselves who aren't interested in Corp or is it the college as a whole which hasn't developed a sustaining corp culture to attract such firms.
"Brand Name" is a pretty broad term, what should be asked is, why inspite of churning out such low numbers for quite a few years, is the college not doing anything to fix it?
The Judiciary tag which one has ascribed to RML not only disincentivises firms from coming to the college but it also creates a vicious cycle where judiciary aspirants attempting CLAT believe RML is the "best" place to do it.
A low placement figure could reflect that the IPC hasn't been proactive in reaching out to firms or their alumni who are pretty well-seated in such firms. The Administration is partly liable because the very IPC is presided over and advised by the members of the faculty and other members alike.
I never stated that there exists a "Special Subject" in the syllabus that screams corporate. The overall Syllabus especially after the 5th semester including Honours and Optional Papers heavily lean towards the corporate side.
The Liberal subjects taught in RML are heavily modified to incorporate topics that are of relevance in UPSC. This has been stated by the concerned faculties themselves and is not something I'm throwing for the sake of throwing.
Lastly, I'm not sure where exactly have I mentioned anything related to faculty. There exists a mixed bunch of teachers in both colleges and I don't think either university has a deciding edge in this regard.
Which extra special subject is taught at HNLU that screams corporate exactly, and who are these amazing faculty who teach such subjects?
From what I have noticed, the syllabus taught in RML is pretty UPSC-oriented while HNLU has a pretty solid syllabus that shouts corporate. This could ultimately lead to folks in either college to lean towards judiciary/Corporate. Thereby influencing placement figures.
It is a different question whether such influence would go to extent of the college placing 9 folks in corp.
