ICAI is hiring Director (Law) & Joint Director (Discipline) where 25 years experience is needed after law degree for Director & 15 years for JD. Questions :
1. Is it worth to join ICAI for a good career (assuming it is a Govt Job, as ICAI comes under Ministry of Corp Affairs)
2. Will these jobs generate good contacts that will help after 5 years so as to quit & come back into practice ?
3. For JD, even CAs are eligible but considering it is an investigation cum prosecution profile, lawyers will have at least some advantage, on this background any other comment ??
Do you REALLY have the 15 years' experience? Because I doubt you would be asking most of these questions had that been the case. "is that a govt job" ffs
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is hiring for various posts, including Joint Director & Assistant Director in disciplinary field. Job profile is to conduct the investigation, collection/analysis of evidence and so on. 15+ years of experience is required. 36 L PA is on offer. It is open for CAs as well as lawyers. Questions/Doubts are :
1. Is that a Government Job ? 2. if yes, is it worth it to take an experience therein and come back to field ? 3. If it is not a Government job, is ICAI a good employer ? 4. Will this job create connections with people that will help in future practice ? This is the most important part as money is not the 'primary' target here but bright career is. Will this job look good on CV or for future job ? or help for Litigation practice
