No not for a year. Lemme tell you how this works.

1. For Harvard you can pursue the exchange but only for a semester. There is no particular eligibility criteria per se(ofc you have to be in your 4th year to say the least). The batch toppers are usually preferred(1-3). You have to take a special faculty letter for the course you want your credits transferred for that semester. It’s very selective and sometimes lol even no one is selected. Usually only one person ends up going. It’s that selective.

2. Now for other universities like SOAS , UVirginia , LSE and Dartmouth you can transfer for an entire year. The university will pay 20% of that equivalent tuition fee if you are selected. And the rest depends upon you. This can start from the 4th year as well. I for instance spent an entire semester at UCL.
