Anything Corporate/Finance - Mumbai
[Ed: Thank you, comment merged into above thread]
Delhi would be better for more of general corporate advisory work and litigation.
Every M&A law firm worth their salt have a Mumbai presence.
Not to diss Delhi law firms or their capabilities, it is just that the best investment bankers and financiers are based out of Mumbai who, if not for quality but atleast from logistics perspective, prefer the Mumbai firms.
The comparision flips in favour of Delhi when it comes to litigation or any non financial law regulatory practice for the above reasons or in favour of Bangalore when it comes to PE/VC practice.
