As a result, their entire sense of ego and pride comes from being at the office surrounded by people who work for them. It is almost sad watching these managing partners pretend like they're doing this to achieve some greater aim of "opening up" offices and to "enhance learning". Each of those problems can easily be solved through technology.
I bet no one on this forum can point out one good advantage of work from office that cannot be substituted with good technological alternative.
But even if this whole thing was about getting people around to jerk off one's ego, the least you could do is make it voluntary. Oh wait, only 3% turned up when they made it voluntary. :(
