No if you reach your target they will increase. Or say practice, city or something has not met target - whatever the partnership can spin to deny you the extra.
Of course if you are chosen, this doesn't apply and then you get paid, and have simpler and happier lives
Yes, confirming this as a Trilegal lawyer. Some of us thought this was a banking error to credit salary twice as the email came only after the money was credited.
All Trilegal staff and lawyers were paid a one time bonus equivalent to the monthly salary while lawyers who have joined recently or are on probation were paid a bonus equivalent to half their monthly salary.
Came as a surprise to all of us. Kudos to the firm. Brilliant gesture in these trying times.
Hahah - boss, this year, objectively and purely in terms of deal activity, has been comparable to great years (turning points even) for all law firms. We as [...] lawyers, have billed the most we ever have at SAM (beating our agreed targets by a mile, and that's saying something for us [...] kids - if you know you know.) So one would think, if nothing else that from PR perspective, that we would get some of that extra dough.
And yet - when we got our management email to announce increments- it reads as -"It has been indeed a very difficult year for India, business, industry...yada yada yada....., we have had to make lost of sacrifices...". They happily increased our fixed fee just enough to beat inflation (but not really since the cost of onions and tomato's has gone up 3 folds)
So in terms of pure ability to control the narrative for all fee earners, lets consider the upcoming increments and hopefully 100% bonus payments (which hasn't been revised mind you) as the only Indian Covid bonus we will ever get.

Now all lalas will begrudgingly have to copy us. LMAO. More power to trilegal!!!! Haters gonna hate!
We're not even getting our retainers thanks to Covid
