NLSIU Bangalore continues topping the MPL with 117 points still carried by its early-season Manfred Lachs win, but RGNUL has caught up into second place in the latest round of our MPL 8 wrap, followed by SLS Pune, both above 70 points.

Participants from NLSIU Bangalore and Nalsar Hyderabad, in the 12th Nani Palkhivala Tax Law Moot, condemned the moot’s organisation for being allegedly fraught with “organisational failures”. The moot’s organiser, Sastra University School of Law Thanjavur, dismissed the allegations and advised the NLSIU and Nalsar team to “adopt a more sportive spirit towards moot court competitions”.

After GLC Mumbai discontinued holding the Nani Palkhiavala Memorial National Tax Moot Court Competition this year, Sastra University’s school of law will take over and hold the moot in 2015.

School of Law, Sastra University made its MPL debut by winning the Surana & Surana International Technology Law Moot Court at Symbiosis Pune after besting NLU Odisha in the Tier 4 moot last month.
