Anyone have any idea about how Rashtriya Raksha University is when it comes to studying defence related law ? Or should I focus on JNU's Centre for National Security ? Is NALSAR's MA in Defence Laws good ?
At the end of the day, money matters. And an IoE will get more than a state university. Hell, NLUs aren't even Central universities. So they will always prevail over so called NLUs.
Many days have ended. So far these places haven't done anything substantial with all this extra money. Couldn't even attract decent faculty. So, no prevailing yet.
You are spot on. That's why putting a "national" in the name, does not make NLUs national universities. In fact, it is as misleading as Bournvita putting the "health drink" tag (now barred by the court). Both are blatant lies.
Take away the national part and the NLUs will still remain the best places in India to study law as on date. Put the IoE and INI tags and NFSU and RRU will still remain places that no student would opt for over NLUs today
Let's walk the talk. Why don't you file a PIL for taking away the "national" term from NLUs? If you chicken out, it is understandable.

You don't worry about NFSU and RRU. They are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves.
Typical - first chicken out, and when logic does not work, make personal attacks. These are old tricks. Learn to win an argument on merit and logic, else don't argue.
Which part of your argument consisted of logic? You had an issue with the NLUs calling themselves national. I asked you to file the PIL that would challenge it. You are the one saying NFSU etc. doesn't need anyone defending them. I asked you to stop defending them.
Please show merit and logic behind your argument about RRU and NFSU being good places to study law at, when these places don't have a single well known law faculty and yet to show any achievement in related field at all.
I challenge you, take away the national name and call it State Law University, I guarantee there will be a massive drop in the admissions. Ask a lot of kids in the 2-3rd year and you will notice most of them don't even know it's a state university.
All the NLU students are well aware of the legal status of their institutions. Only you, who seem to have never placed his foot inside any NLU, appear to think otherwise.
Ha, ha......nice one. NLUs using the "national" term while being state universities is like RaGa using the "Gandhi' surname - though he is not from the Gandhi family.
Haters gonna hate, especially when they don't have anything of substance to show for their argument. For instance, how no INI has any good law faculty or has any student achievement to speak of.
Money? Their faculty aren't being paid any more. Importance? To whom?
Are you kidding? Go check their websites. They're the fee universities in the country that have an affiliation with ministry of defence, ICRC and even Home ministry. Look at both RRU & NFSUs MoUs signed in the last few years post pandemic.
Same salary as the NLUs. Despite being INI/IOU. What's the big deal then? These places are failing to attract a single decent faculty.
Nobody knows RRU.

Don't be misguided or misguide others.

For PhD in Law:

You have good central and state universities like:

DU

JNU

BHU

AMU

Jamia

South Asian University

ILI Delhi

Pune Univ

Mumbai University

GGSIP University Delhi

You have established NLUs like

NLS Bangalore

NALSAR Hyd

NLU Delhi

NUJS Kolkata

GNLU, etc.

You have IIT Kharagpur if area is IP Law.

You have few good private universities:

Jindal Global University

Symbiosis Pune

Christ/ Nirma etc.

You can think RRU or NFSU only if you don't get admission in any of the above
NFSU and RRU have been setup by Governmnet of India for long trm vision for nation. RRU if first national security University. See the link and courses, facilities, faculty page, training etc. multi discpilinary University. To us, alike other Universities, half of the course is taught by real practitioners, officers and we are given regular field hand on experince. We lawstudents have life time opportunity to study and pursue career in RRU along with Criminology/criminal phychology, financial crimes , Cyber security, Defence, IR, laguages and many more verticals. Come and see the difference here.
Name a single law faculty teaching there who's an expert in the chosen field.
Yes, very nicely explained. The clowns on this platform do not understand the difference between an institute and an institution. NFSU and RRU are INIs for a reason and these are public universities. As citizens of this country, everyone has a stake in these. The mindset here is since state NLUs cannot be made INIs, therefore ridicule other universities that are. This is the classic crab mindset.
