Sorry to burst your bubble, but no "2-3% swing" will be happening. No person planning to vote for the BJP will vote for Congress just because of this promise. Rahul as PM will never happen because TMC, NCP, and AAP will never accept him as PM face.

BJP voter base = 20% Solid Hindutva Vote + 20% Modi Vote (these people don't vote BJP they only care for Modi) + 3-5% Miscellaneous, only the miscellaneous is up for grabs. 40%, in any case, is enough to win the election. The day Modi leaves, the BJP vote will come down to 30%, and then Congress can dream of coming back to power.
Downvoters are delusional people devoid of reality. If you think the opposition has any chance of causing even a small dent on the NDA is laughable.
There will be a bigger swing if he steps down. And this coming from a gay person.
Yes, this will totally change the equation. I see the entire LGBTQ community + liberal youth voting in droves for INC. BJP is done. INC just needs to do a good job of publicising this. Good riddance.
I think most gay people already were voting for the party more likely to make gay marriage happen. But even among gay people- not everyone is a single issue voter- the economy and jobs is a much more important problem. 2-3% thats very dispersed across a population usually can have very litttle electoral impact.
economy is suffering ?

We are doing pretty good in economy part
How can you say that economy is suffering ?
Economy is more than sensex. There's huge wealth disparity, not enough new jobs are being created, foreign investors are not creating new industry here, the government is deliberately undermining the credibility of economic data by withholding some data and coming up with fancy metrics just to make itself look good compared to UPA. Rural economy is down to dregs after you compensate for inflation. The vegetables market is on fire making it difficult for people to make ends meet. The price of life saving meds is skyrocketing. You would know all of this if you actually look around yourself.
Bruh… the Sensex was 25K in 2014 and is 75K today. Please rely on facts instead of Dhruv Rathee reels.
If you had not skipped those economics classes, then you would have realised that the sensex isn't the sole determinant for the economy of a country.
People like you are essential for the continued preservation of some sense of order and sanity in this country, i.e., BJP remaining in power. Please continue your contribution to Mother India!
Which world are you living in? LGBTQ are not even 0.5 percent of population. How can it impact national elections?

All the LGBT activism and awareness limited to big cities and few universities/ law school campuses. This is not an issue at all for something like lok sabha elections.
