How can I transition to a foreign law firm/in house etc. internationally upon starting work as an associate at a tier 1 law firm?

I'm an A3 at a T1 B&F team in Mumbai. From what I've gathered, the skills that you pick up in this team are really location agnostic. I've had loads of colleagues, from the B&F and Capital Markets team, transition into a foreign law firm.
