They should send pamphlets to your home along with the newspapers?
From what I know, based on contacts with both students and the admin, they're doing well and are on the right trajectory. And also the only other NLU apart from NLSIU, that follows a TRIMESTER SYSTEM. From what I know, NLU Meg was the brainchild of the HC's former chief, Justice Banerjee and other bureaucrats in the state's law department, one of whom is an NLS grad. NLU Meg is also conceptualized as the State's Judicial Academy, possibly the third NLU in the country to house the Judicial Academy for law officers/magistrates/judges of the state after Delhi and Assam. Basically, NLU Meg Act and all, was also drafted by Research Fellows from NLSIU, working in the state, an outcome of an MoU b/w NLSIU and the Law Department. They're just 9 months in, and they're doing really innovative work, just jointly organized a National Moot with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and the batch size is relatively small, just about 60 students inclusive of BA, BBA and BSc, so the prospects of placing the first batch in 2028 also seems okay, but only time will tell, as to how it will be performing in the next 5 years or so, given there is no alumni base. But as a matter of fact, the present campus is housed in the old IIM Campus, and the new campus is a greenfield development spanning 65 acres, a few professors and research fellows have foreign LLMs and exposure as well. In comparison with other NLUs in up and coming, stifled as just "state" universities or even having their admissions cancelled by the SC (NLU Tripura), NLU "Meg" seems to be approaching things differently. Overall, the Pros would be - New / Innovative Course (Policy Science Honours, Data Science, Public Policy), Environment, Small Batch Size, Proactive Government Support, Determined Admin & Staff (Can be gauged through all reports, articles, YouTube videos) and the Cons would be that it is new and relatively unknown, hence unpredictable. It may only be an on and upward trend or a massive downfall. https://www.nlumeg.ac.in/
Take it from a senior: no NLU other than NLS, NALSAR, NUJS, NLUD, NLUJ, or GNLU, and if you want to stretch it, NLIU or HNLU is worth joining.

If you want to avoid a life of perpetual struggle for even basic opportunities during and after graduation, then take 3 CLAT attempts if necessary, but don't take admission in any new/lower-ranked NLU.
That's what people used to say about GNLU even 5-6 years back. Things change. So do institutions. This new one hasn't started off badly so far unlike many other new ones. As a student, what do you know about prospects and potential of other NLUs anyway?
