I joined a boutique law firm(Litigation) few days ago. I have 1 year PQE. The Senior seems to have a Split Personality disorder. He scolds juniors even for his own faults and threatens to fire us and like at 7 am in the morning which fucks up my whole day. To interact with him itself seems so annoying. Moreover the pay is peanuts. I want to quit but my friends say every other workplace is the same. Am I being too sensitive?

they're not wrong about every other workplace being the same but he really crosses the line with the firing threats. try for a mid-sized or larger firm, things are generally better in bigger firms, they at least have a namesake HR.

you do not need to be demotivated so early on by a toxic boss. Apply to other jobs, take a few days off, get a new job and leave. god bless
