Focus on getting good people to join, including alum. It's astonishing why NALSAR does not attract its alum in academics in greater numbers. NLS does, even NUJS does. NLUD will probably do too once its alum have become senior enough. People will keep leaving for better opportunities, that cannot be helped.
Nonsense. Number of alumni joined between 2012-2020. They all left.
This was before SKDR too. Itβs gotta do with current powers being inhospitable and resentful of successful alumni. The lack of good mentorship or an intellectual community. And a serious degradation in standards and rigor in the classroom. And honestly - sometimes just mob like bad behaviour by students.
I believe it's cause majority of their LLMs and PhD are non-nlus and go back to their respective hometowns once they complete and are eligible for teaching. No state loyal talents like NUJS or brand prestige like NLS or location advantage like NLUD. NALSAR is definitely going to drop out of the top 5 after GNLU and NLUJ come up
The focus should primarily be on the LLBs. If they have done their LLMs or PhDs also from NALSAR along with their LLBs, then that's okay. Those are the people who are likely to be more attached to the institution. Frankly, if people can go to a godforsaken place like Sonepat for Jindal, then Shamirpet isn't that far away from Hyderabad, which has all the big city-amenities.
Weren't Nalsarites bragging that they "poached" SKDR from NLUD? The dude is like some repellant for good faculty, it seems. But still better than Messiah who brought a 30-year old institution to its knees in a couple of years.
No, they were saying that SKDR ditched NLUD for NALSAR, which is accurate enough. Mind you, NLUD people still kept saying how their place is number one even when SKDR was heading it.
Doesn't matter what anybody else thinks, man. If the world worked that way, then NLUD wouldn't have displaced NALSAR across multiple rankings in less than 10 years of its existence. And if NLUD isn't a top-rate place, NALSAR certainly isn't one either.
NLUD displaced others in rankings because it submits fake data everywhere. That has been proven time and again. The constant ranting of its trolls on LI is true indication of its nature.
Rubbish statement considering NLUD ranked 2nd in NIRF ahead of NALSAR since 2018 to 2020 even when the salary figures were lower than Nalsar's. Check them yourself and apply some burnol. You need an excuse to claim NLUD isn't better. But we all know your bitterness stems from the fact that NALSAR has actually lost the race to a newer NLU when it had everything in its advantage. And frankly, with NLUD's prime location, lack of any domicile reservation, and recent achievements, its overall prospects for the future are much brighter than NALSAR as well.
NLUD still has got worse placements, no alumni base to speak of, and not even good faculty anymore, nor a dynamic VC like RS. Location is its only advantage now.
So what? Are you saying that people will always migrate back to their alma if you offer them a better place to work at? Basically all these people left NLUD because it is now a shadow of what it was under Ranbir Singh. I also see that you have conveniently skipped Arul. Or Harpreet. Nor did NLUD get any equivalent replacement for any of these good faculty. Currently there is no difference in quality between the faculty of NLUD and most other NLUs. It is not a matter to shut your eyes down against, but to acknowledge and solve.
So the guy who chases away faculty is worse than the guy who attracts top faculty ? Ok. Brought to knees and all is such drama. Nothing that dramatic has happened bestie. Chill. Breathe. Touch grass.
SkDR was literally forced to leave NLUD, for good reason, after just 2 years. Only we at NALSAR were stupid enough to take him in after the Janab-e-Ashraf was kicked out and send to bihar.
Within a month of SkDR, the SBA and its big brother BSR released that Janab-e-Ashraf was, at the very least, much fairer and pragmatic than SkDR.
Change your VC. A mediocre VC will not attract or invite faculty smarter and superior to him. See how Sudhir transformed the faculty at NLS or Raj at JGLS or what MP Singh did at NUJS a decade back, because they were the best themselves. You can't expect this from SKDR.

Arul I am not sure.
Chinmayi was always more active on the research side, she left to move abroad AFAIK.
