Asking genuinely why is there so much of prejudice against JGLS? Keeping high fees aside, what has JGLS done to deserve all this hate? Spoiled kids are everywhere I believe. People who work hard here, get a job. Isn't it fair? Just because someone is paying a hefty sum how is it a responsibility of the institute to get them a job? Why do people keep nagging about the number of students enrolled vs number of students actually placed? Those who worked for it, got it. End of conversation.
Agreed to some extent but that being said-

1. Stop hating and marginalising NLUs and other law unis. There are consequences to it.

2. People keep nagging about the number of students enrolled vs the number of students placed because of your humongous batch size which definitely deserves some constructive criticism.

3. Accept the fact that more than half of your batch is a result of privilege and generational wealth. Not individual capability.

4. Accept the fact that more than half of your batch either flunked or didn't appear for entrance exams like CLAT and AILET.

5. "Just because someone is paying a hefty sum, how is it a responsibility of the institute to get them a job" sorry but what??
Because they do endless PR, often skirting the age of falsehood. For context, see earlier LI posts.

Nobody hates it, people just don't believe that it provides good money's worth and has got no standard for admission. Hence people from JGLS need to prove themselves separately before others take them seriously. Is it unfair? Maybe. However, your alma mater's reputation will rub off on you. That's how it is.

The institution is not responsible for giving anyone job, however, it will be held accountable for the PR that it does about giving everyone jobs so long as they want it. Not everyone who works hard at JGLS gets a job. If the institute PR team and trolls don't go around bragging about their faculty and global reputation and fantastic opportunities not offered by any other Indian institution, then people would not really pay any attention to JGLS or its students, honestly.

Every university in India can make the same claim, those students who work hard get the opportunities. Then why would someone spend such abysmal sums to study law at JGLS, especially when it claims to offer so much more?
