With the Parliamentary Commitee in approval of setting up of Regional benches, the commercial disputes practice in Bombay and Madras will benefit even more. Bombay circle will benefit with the influx of appeals from a growing Gujarat state. Madras Circle will have the benefit of Bangalore and Hyderabad under its jurisdiction, apart from the already industrialized and commercial Chennai metropolitan region and tier 2 Cities like Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem and Cochin. This will also increase the number of national law firms that always wanted to set base in Chennai, despite past failures to materialize operations there due to stiff competition from local law firms.
