Elucidating further, I am an A2 at a boutique Firm, hoping to make a switch to a bigger Firm. Got in touch with XYZ recruiter recently. While he/ she/ they seem competent, is it okay to get in touch with other recruiters simultaneously, or should I only speak to only one recruiter/ recruitment company at the time?

Recruiters are not talking to only one candidate at a time. They spread far and wide to select the candidate they find best suitable. You're smart enough to understand where this is going.
