I am being offered lesser salary than what I am making in my present organisation.I only wanted to join coz I'm not working in a law firm and want to make a switch.I also told the partner that I am willing to work on a slightly higher pay , if not more or even at par to my present salary, but he doesn't seem to be convinced.Should I take up the offer or wait for a better one?

How big of a delta are we talking about? Once you enter a law firm, after 1-2 years you can laterally move to tier 1s and make good money.
