Absolutely. Agree 100%. Even NLUD, apparently better funded and having the locational advantage is at a disadvantage for being a state university. They just don't figure in the national narrative.
There's some vitriol in the comments which should be disregarded. GNLU's locational advantage so far has been minimal, but it's well leveraged. All the local law firm branches and corporates like Adani hire en masse from GNLU which is why their placements are competitive to higher ranked NLUs.
GIFT city will be an advantage, but not for the next 5-7 years. GIFT has a lot of unrealised potential that will need to be unlocked by special legislation, which is then taken advantage of by overseas players. This will need a lot of time and capex investment. Local legal hiring is usually last priority for most companies.
