a couple of years ago the law programme started admitting over 100 students, while the physical infrastructure is quite good, the teaching quality and research support is not upto the mark.

most subjects are taught by guest faculty, with only 6 full time teachers, who are also contractual.

I suspect that the programme also does not have bci recognition, I hope the institution does not play the ini card like jiggles

it also does not have a law hod like IIT-Kharagpur

it is unfortunate that ini's are starting law programmes without any clear strategic vision or ideas
As someone who has been a guest faculty to that place, I can vouch for the fact that the student quality is quite good and at par with the leading NLUs. The academic infra is lacking, with a frugal library collection and no database that the NLUs take for granted these days, as are facilities within and around the campus, despite the students paying a fee as steep as 6LPA. They are planning to shift the law school to Noida sometime soon though, maybe things will improve after that.
It has become a norm on this platform to peddle lies about anything that is non-NLU. IIM Rohtak's IPL is BCI-approved and is mentioned (in bold) on their website. Propagating such a blatant lie has two reasons:

1. Envy. How can INIs offer law programs, while NLUs continue languishing as state entities?

2. Eliminate competition (while secretly applying for such programs)
It is clear from the comments that it's the IPL that's languishing currently. As is your identity clear, the same person who's been flogging the dead horse of how central institutions are better for studying law compared to the NLUs, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
It is BCI recognized. However, getting in is quite easy. Thousand times easier than NLUs! There is no admission test. Fees are exorbitant given that it's a government institute!
Fees are standard given that it's an IIM. They charge similar fees for their management programmes too. These places do not really get much government funds anymore. Instead, they are encouraged to earn their own money by offering new courses or hiking up the fees of existing ones without government supervision. Capitalism at play here, nothing more.
Now that the lack of BCI-approval lie is ripped apart, here comes the second one.

"There is no admission test." Well, the selection is through CLAT (50% seats) and IPMAT (50% seats). There you go.

This platform is used to spread lies about non-NLU institutions, obviously for vested interests.
1. The BCI thing wasn't a statement, OP mentioned it as a suspicion. But it surely did trigger you. One wonders why.

2. That still means no admission test. Admission test is when the university conducts or participates in one. This way, even a CLAT rank 50000 may make it.
Instead of making wild conjectures, why don't you show a student with a 50,000 rank getting a seat? This is an IIM with no domicile reservation as well.

IPMAT is an IIMR-conducted test. You ignore it. One wonders why.

I am wondering, aren't law students/lawyers taught to support their views with data?
Most of the students there have CLAT AIRs between around 500 all the way to around 2000. I was a student there for one year.
Since you have been a part of the institute for one year, could you provide brief information on all of the following things:

1) Physical infrastructure

2) teaching quality

3) student quality & peer competition

4) college fests & college life

5) moot court facility

6) library and database collection

7) exposure to international stuff (student exchange programmes, summer programmes)
8) placement opportunities

ik you have only been a part of it for a year but kindly rate them all on a scale of 1-10
No the breakdown is 75% seats by IPMAT AT with LAW Component and 25% by CLAT
There's no prestige involved. Just cronyism. Most of the IOEs got that status because of connections of the founders and not because of any real achievement.
IIM Rohtak has not even become a good IIM like ABCLIK. Students prefer XLRI, MDI, FMS etc over IIM Rohtak. Their flagship MBA program and it's placements nowhere close to top IIMs. Director of institute Mr Sharma facing so many controversies. Irregularities in faculty appointment to himself not qualified for IIM directorship and submitted fake marksheet, etc.

In such a situation, 5 year law started by them will only be a waste of time and money for young people. Go to NLUs or jindal or symbiosis pune than joining this substandard and high priced law degree, all in the name of IIM.
Please reveal your credentials so as to be able to judge all these educational institutions.
So, a malafide action on the part of the director makes you decide that the institution isn't worth anything? Most NLU VCs have done worse. As well as those in charge of central and state universities.
